notes from an artist
Whether the day is dazzling with blue skies or muted grey, I am always entertained by the ‘fierce’ creations of nature, surrounding us, right here in Surrey and White Rock.
In this exhibit, I hope you recognize some of the locations and events throughout Surrey. Watching the Options Building in progress, hope you enjoy the abstracted promise!
Your investment in these paintings will support a safer and healthier community when everyone finds a home.

Meet the Artists
Bonnie Moy
Bonnie Moy is a lifetime and award recipient artist. Many of her paintings go into local organizations raising money for good causes.
Growing up in Surrey, when it was mostly bush, a gigantic natural playground for the children of the ‘Baby Boom’. “As kids we were instructed to go out to play, and not to come back into to the house other than for lunch, or ‘life threatening injuries’, (which were cured by the words, ‘shake it off’) At dust, someone’s mom would call, “Time to come in” ! Being nurtured by local nature has influenced my work.”
Working at Eaton’s Department Stores, in the Visual Presentation Dept. as a window dresser, installing seasonal Christmas decorations, and special events for many years.
This job was a way for Bonnie to create art in display and entertainment daily.
In 1992, she became a REALTOR with Homelife Benchmark Realty in South Surrey, White Rock.
In 2014 the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board made her the recipient of the John Armeneau Award Professional of the Year award. As she had helped establish the REALTY Watch Program wherein the RCMP will notify over 10,000 lower mainland REALTORS when they need help looking for missing persons, via our communications systems, ie cell phones and texts. Her experience with marketing skills and Interior Design training enabled her to help clients present homes at their best in a 30 year career.

My paintings are not difficult to understand; they are merely an exploration of that which brings me joy, and makes my heart skip a beat.
